Andy Costello - Head coach

Andy is the head coach and founder of Project Mayhem. He is a former heavyweight British Judo champion and Judo international.

Andy fought pro MMA on Cage Rage and is a Black Belt in Brazilian Ju Jitsu. He has also competed in boxing, Muay Thai and Kickboxing.


Andrew Parker - Brazilian Ju Jitsu

Project Mayhem had an amazing 2019 and Andrew Parker played a big part, arranging additional sessions throughout the weeks for members who were unable to make classes due to shift work or other commitments.

Monthly members have unlimited use of the venue providing no class is timetabled.


Steve Pender - Muay Thai

Steve and his partner Christi are founders of the celebrated Chaos gym in Okehampton, which has produced 14 World, European and national champions.

Chaos also has two Glory fighters. Glory is the Muay Thai / kickboxing equivalent of the UFC.


Marc ‘Suplex’ Allen - Wrestling / MMA

Marc is an experienced MMA pro who specialises in wrestling. He held the Pain Pit belt and is a veteran of BAMMA and Cage warriors.

Marc retired from MMA and worked as an MMA / wrestling coach at the acclaimed Trojan gym before moving to Exeter to work with Project Mayhem.


Shaun Pepperell - Strength and conditioning

Ex Para Shaun is a level 3 personal trainer. His fitness classes combine the latest sports science with tried and tested military know-how.

Shaun is a great motivator and popular member of the team.


Jack Dedames - Brazilian Ju Jitsu

Jack Dedames won nine Brazilian Ju Jitsu comps before taking his skills into the cage.

He is unbeaten in MMA with his last two victories coming by first round submission.

Kind, patient and sensitive to those wanting to make a change - Jack is the perfect choice for nervous beginners wanting to learn Brazilian Ju Jitsu.
